PS22 - Lisztomania

The kids at PS22 and their music teacher have been gaining popularity and buzz within the indie world for some time now. Their YouTube account is host to a number of spectacular covers by indie groups such as Beach House, MGMT, and Passion Pit. I was especially impressed by the following video, their rendition of "Lisztomania" by Phoenix. Not only do the kids always present each song with the utmost fervor and passion (notice the hand miming) but this song in particular has a pretty difficult lyrical cadence. In this video we get to see just how disciplined these kids are and truly how much work must go into each performance. This is PS22 at their best:

Miley Cyrus/The Strokes on SNL

I feel like they intentionally booked The Strokes with Miley to counteract Julian Casablancas' constant leather jacket wearing. Either way, this episode was particularly funny...Disney Channel acting school, Weekend Update, and Face Cream/Rock-a-billy CDs
