Soundtrack for the Week

My Crowning Achievement

You may have heard of the blog ThisIsWhyYou'reFat.com. It features all sorts of fat-ass havin', artery clogging, life altering recipes (usually involving bacon, deep frying, cheese, or all of the above) sent in by readers. Needless to say I was quickly obsessed and inspired. My official submission count stands at a grand total of 1, and since the website has been recently shut down, at one it shall stand. But today is a new day...and in honor of ThisIsWhyYou'reFat.com I have come up with this:

The Michael "Squints" Palledorous

This combination of hot dog with Kansas City bbq sauce, peach and pepper preserve, mustard, fried onions, and fried bananas will keep you salivating FOR-E-VER.

Here is my previous submission:
The Sloppy Jose

Loaded nachos with mexican three cheese blend, salsa, cilantro, jalepenos, refried beans in a Sloppy Joe with mustard and onions

Bear In Heaven/Twin Sister/Mountain Man

Ash and I went to see one of the Pitchfork after shows at Lincoln Hall Saturday night. I was completely blown away. I've posted a great song by Twin Sister before so here are a couple by the two other bands who couldn't be more different from one another...

Brandi Strickland / Richard Colman

I've somehow happened upon couple of incredible artists in the past few days. Something about their work really struck a chord with me. I've always been really interested in psychedelic culture/art/music and I think their combinations of vintage colors, clashing patterns, and abstract situations are what draws forth stoner sentiments for me.

Broken Social Scene's new video

Just found a great new video from Broken Social Scene's excellent new album Forgiveness Rock Record on P4K. The video seems to be a social commentary for our ADD ridden country and highlights a vast array of topics from the oil spill to Bieber to those crazies on Whale Wars. Enjoy!

Knitting is going to BLOW UP! Okay, maybe not, but these little tid-bits are very cool in my book.

I Need This!

This is called the Inspiration Pad. It is an amazing concept and also amazingly simple. I am also amazed that no one has thought to do this before. If they did, I was not informed...amaze.

Alright. First joke.

My name is Jam. I'm an intern for a magazine publisher, and a large part of my job there is to scour the internet and search for things that we might want to put in our magazines. Naturally, I come across some really great stuff. Stuff that I would like to hold onto for a while and especially share with others. Stuff that I would like cataloged somewhere on these internets for future reference. Ah, yes...a blog.
